If you are planning family Christmas photos this year, the first question is usually the simplest one: how much will it cost? Here is a clear breakdown of every 2026 Christmas package at Mihai Gonguta - Photo Studio, what is included, what changes the price and how booking works.
All Christmas sessions take place at our Northampton studio, 160 Coppice Drive, Northampton NN3 6NG, with parking available on site. Sessions open on 7 November 2026 and run throughout November and December. You can see live availability and every price on our Christmas photoshoot page.
Christmas 2026: this year’s two themes
Elegance, classic and warm, for elegant dresses, tailored suits and crisp shirts. Winter, a snowy cabin scene with a hot cocoa stand and a porch lit with warm fairy lights. Both are new handmade sets, both are included in every session, and they are revealed at the start of November.

Christmas photoshoot prices in Northampton for 2026
Prices depend on the package, the month and the day of the week:

What every package includes
Whichever package you choose, you get both of our Christmas themes, Elegance and Winter. These are real handmade sets built in the studio, not printed backgrounds, and they are revealed at the start of November. Every package also includes a private final gallery that stays online for 3 years, so you can download your photos at any time, and full resolution JPEG files for printing at any size.
Each session is for one family, so everyone can be in the photos together.
Mini: the Christmas mini session
Mini is our Christmas mini session, with up to 45 minutes in the studio and 10 edited photos. It starts at £149 on a November weekday.
Bronze
Bronze gives you twice the photos of Mini, 20 edited images, and up to 60 minutes in the studio. It starts at £199 on a November weekday.
Silver
Silver doubles the photos again to 40 edited images, with up to 75 minutes in the studio. It is ideal if you want plenty of digital files for cards, frames and gifts. It starts at £369 on a November weekday.
Gold (VIP)
Gold is the full experience: 50 edited photos, up to 90 minutes in the studio, every unedited photo from your session (worth £150) and a Standard Album 30×30cm with 20 pages on lustre paper, without a box (worth £159). It starts at £549 on a November weekday.
What changes the price
Two things move the price up or down, and they are always shown on the booking calendar for each day.
- November or December. November dates cost £30 less than December dates.
- Weekday or weekend. Saturday and Sunday sessions are £30 more than weekdays.
The two add together, so a December weekend is £60 more than a November weekday. For example, Mini is £149 on a November weekday and £209 on a December weekend. The studio is open Monday to Sunday by appointment, and weekends tend to book up fastest in December.
The £49 deposit and paying the balance
You secure your date with a £49 deposit, paid by card on the page when you book. The deposit is not an extra cost: it comes off your final total. The rest is paid at the end of your session, by cash or bank transfer.
If you cancel 14 or more days before your session, the deposit is refunded in full. Within 14 days it is non refundable, though you can ask to reschedule. You also get one free reschedule with at least 14 days notice, subject to availability.

You choose your favourites from a private gallery after the session, and you can add more photos later if you love more than your package includes.

If you think you will want more photos, compare packages first: moving from Mini to Bronze costs £50 for 10 more photos and 15 more minutes, £70 less than buying those photos later.

How to book your Christmas session
Booking happens right on the Christmas photoshoot page, with no phone calls. Pick a day and time in the calendar, choose your package, add your details, sign the booking terms on screen and pay the £49 deposit. Your confirmation email then brings the studio address, parking details and your session guide.

Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest Christmas photoshoot option?
The Mini package, our Christmas mini session, from £149 on a November weekday. It includes up to 45 minutes in the studio, both Christmas themes and 10 edited photos.
Are unedited photos included?
Only in the Gold (VIP) package. For every other package, all photos in JPEG format, unedited and without a logo, can be added for £150.
Is the deposit extra?
No. The £49 deposit is deducted from your final balance, which you pay at the end of your session by cash or bank transfer.
Will my photos be ready for Christmas?
3 to 4 days after your session you get a private gallery to choose your favourite photos (15 days to choose). We then edit them: delivered within 20 working days, or by 25 December if chosen by 20 December.
