We typically do cake smash photos in these stages:

1. Pre-cake portraits: Your baby dressed in a cute outfit
2. Cake smash: Just a nappy or diaper cover (things get messy!)
3. Bath tub photos: Clean-up shots in our mini tub setup

Cake smash sessions typically last 45-90 minutes, depending on your chosen package and your baby’s mood and engagement.

We work at your baby’s pace, taking breaks if needed. The session includes pre-cake portraits, the cake smash itself, and optional bath tub clean-up photos for a complete story of this milestone.

Please bring:

• The smash cake (soft and easy to break apart)
• Spare clothes for after the session
• Baby wipes and towels
• Snacks and drinks for your baby
• Any special props with sentimental value (optional)

I’m experienced in coaxing babies to engage with the cake through play and encouragement. However, if your baby simply isn’t interested, we’ll still capture beautiful pre-cake portraits and can adjust the session to focus on what your baby enjoys.

Mihai Gonguta – Photo Studio is located at Unit 10A Cuckoo Hill Farm, Castlethorpe Rd, Milton Keynes MK19 7HQ. We have free parking directly in front of the studio.

Our professional studio is fully equipped for cake smash photography with all props, backdrops, and cleanup facilities.

Within 3-4 days after your session, you’ll receive a private online gallery link with watermarked preview images. This gallery is for selection purposes only.

Once you select your favorite images based on your package, I will professionally edit them and deliver your final high-resolution images without watermarks within 20 working days.

Your cake smash package includes between 15-35 high-resolution digital images without watermarks, depending on your chosen tier:

Bronze Package (£199): 15 edited digital photos
Silver Package (£329): 25 edited digital photos
Gold Package (£459): 35 edited digital photos

You’ll first receive a watermarked online gallery to make your selection. After selection, your chosen images will be professionally edited and delivered without watermarks in high-resolution format.

All unedited photos with watermarks in JPEG format are available for £300 as an additional option.

A £49 deposit is required to secure your cake smash session. This is not an additional fee and is deducted from your chosen package price.

The remaining payment can be made by cash or bank transfer on the day of your photoshoot at our Milton Keynes studio.

We understand that plans can change, especially with young children! Here’s our rescheduling policy:

Rescheduling with 14+ days notice: You can reschedule once without losing your deposit, no questions asked.

Last-minute rescheduling (less than 14 days): If your request doesn’t affect other bookings, I’ll be happy to help accommodate you. However, if the short notice impacts other scheduled sessions, the £49 deposit will be forfeited.

Please contact me as soon as possible if you need to reschedule, especially if your baby is unwell.

Your cake smash photos receive professional post-production editing including adjustments to tone, exposure, contrast, brightness, saturation, and artistic cropping according to my signature photography style.

All images are edited consistently with the style showcased in our cake smash photography portfolio. Basic retouching is included as deemed necessary.

Specific retouching requests such as additional editing or detailed edits can be provided at an additional cost upon request.

Only parents and siblings can attend the cake smash photoshoot at our Milton Keynes studio. This policy ensures a comfortable environment without overcrowding.

During your professional cake smash photography session, only the photographer is permitted to take photos. Parents, friends, family, and guests are not allowed to take photos with cameras, phones, or tablets.

This policy ensures the best lighting conditions, maintains your baby’s focus, and allows everyone to be fully present during this special milestone session.

For health and safety reasons, pets are not permitted at our Milton Keynes cake smash photography studio.
